Meet Shailja Dixit, a Physician Executive with 20+ years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry. Dr. Dixit has been in executive leadership at Sanofi, Allergan, and GE and has been responsible for launching a number of innovative medicines. She was voted innovator of the year at GE in 2008, nominated as a Top 50 Thought Leader in “Big Data” in Life Sciences in 2016, and featured in the Pharma Executive Magazine cover-page article “Real-World Evidence: From Volume to Value” (Oct 13, 2016). Tell us more about your company or organization! For those getting to know you for the first time, share what you absolutely want them to know in 2-3 sentences.
CurioTM is a Digital Therapeutics company with tailor-made Cognitive Behavioral Therapy programs for Women across the cycle of life – encompassing age groups, physiological conditions, and social settings. The traditional one-size-fits-all approach to women’s healthcare is often inadequate and ineffective without accounting for the various factors that shape the diagnosis and care. CurioTM recognizes that the Mind-Body relationship plays a profound role in women’s health and offers a Holistic approach to women’s health by designing interventions that address behavioral management and physiological conditions.
What are the top reasons you joined TechUnited? How can you help other members, and how can other members help you?

What motivated you to start your company or organization and how do you differentiate yourself from the competition?
“We believe a woman’s well-being has a lasting impact, not just on the child but also on the family and society at large. By empowering women, we are helping to strengthen all of society. The company was created since I personally have gone through a difficult post-partum emotional journey. Trying to balance work and a newborn was the toughest period of my life. I realize for women, returning to work after childbirth is one of the toughest transition phases of life. I wanted to create a tool that gives support to women during this extremely challenging phase in a woman’s life.
What makes us different is the way in which we deliver help to women. We create easy-to-access, self-guided programs specifically developed for key moments in a woman’s life. Our programs are evidence-driven and clinically validated. Crafted by clinical psychologists and put through vigorous clinical trials, our programs are proven to work.”
What new technology are you excited about? And how do you stay innovative in your role?
“The future of both AR and VR is looking like a very promising way to help people. The potential to deliver therapies wherever and whenever, in a simple and relatable manner will have massive impacts on the future of healthcare, and the world as a whole.
We try to stay innovative by keeping our own platform on the cutting edge. In fact, our programs actually have AR exercises integrated throughout. These exercises provide an engaging way to teach otherwise difficult topics.”
What is that one piece of advice you would share with other entrepreneurship enthusiasts in the community?
Don’t give up. Believe in conviction. If you believe in your idea and approach, be persistent!
What’s your go-to conversation starter or #1 fun fact about your company or career?
Food, Travel, and Wine! Our company was started during the pandemic, scaled during the pandemic, and hired most of our team members without meeting anyone.
