Announcing the TechUnited CleanTech Impact Challenge Semi-Finalists
The TechUnited CleanTech Alliance was formed earlier in 2020 with Founding Sponsor, PSEG. In a live broadcast in April, PSEG CEO Ralph Izzo, Former Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang, & TechUnited CEO Aaron Price shared the details of the CleanTech Impact Challenge. The CleanTech Impact Challenge is meant to energize, connect, and support entrepreneurs and innovators working towards a clean energy future. The program has been designed to not only offer a $50,000 cash prize to the winner, but to offer mentorship, exposure, and partnership opportunities to those that apply.
After receiving applications from all across the US and the globe, the selection committee has chosen the Top Ten startup applicants to move on to the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finals will take place this Thursday, September 24th virtually, and readers can attend by registering online.
The Impact Challenge outlined three Challenge Statements that applicants should address:
- Reduce Electricity & Gas Usage: Create a product or service that allows residential, low-income or small business users to monitor and reduce their electricity or gas usage.
- Drive Energy Efficiency: Create a product or service that increases the uptake of utility-provided energy efficiency products and services to hard-to-reach low-income residential, as well as small business customers.
- Address Workforce Development: Create an innovative approach to recruiting and training the new workforce that will be needed to execute the clean energy future.
We received applications for incredibly innovative solutions for these challenges and are thrilled to announce the CleanTech Impact Challenge Semi-Finalists:
- Accelerate Wind LLC
- Consolidated Energy Design, Inc.
- Farm to Flame Energy

We hope that you’ll tune into Thursday’s CleanTech Impact Challenge Semi-Finals to hear more about these companies and meet our judges! The Semi-Finals will be a LIVE selection of the top three startups who will move on to the Finals, where Andrew Yang & Ralph Izzo will select the winner for the $50,000 prize!
